REPAIR

We repair desktop computers that are fixed assets of the faculty.

We do not repair private computers.

If the warranty on a desktop computer has expired, we will repair it for you. You will need to pay for the cost of materials.

If you have enabled BitLocker, please let us know when you bring the computer in for repairs.

Please back up your data before bringing the computer to us if that is technically possible. We are not responsible for lost data!

If the item is under warranty (3 years), the authorized service provider will repair it. They have 45 days to do so. We have no control over how long it takes to repair items under warranty.

Commercial service

Tablets, monitors, laptops, and Mac PCs that are no longer under warranty can be repaired by commercial services.

We do not recommend any specific service. If the costs will be covered by public funds, you will need to fill out an order form in Fiori.

If the item is old (four years or older) or if the cost of the repair is more than one-third of the item’s value, we suggest that you do not repair it.
